I live several hundred miles away from most of my extended family, and when I travel back east for the holidays, I always compile all of the most memorable photographs I took over the course of the year and bring them along. This year, I printed the photographs at home, packed them in my suitcase, and set off for the airport. But when I arrived at my family’s home just outside Memphis, I realized the photographs weren’t there! I started to stress because there was no way I was going to get photographs reprinted on Christmas Eve.
After some time had passed, I asked my dad what I should do, and he said he had purchased an OKI high end mono digital printer for my mom as a Christmas gift. I was overjoyed! But, of course, that meant she hadn’t yet opened it and I wanted to have the pictures ready for her and the rest of my relatives in the morning. So my dad and I snuck downstairs and took the printer out from under the tree, opened it, installed the ink cartridges, and printed out my pictures, then haphazardly rewrapped the present. On Christmas morning my mom unwrapped the printer, and immediately asked “Has this been opened?”. My dad and I burst out laughing and then showed her the photos. I imagine it’s a Christmas story that will be passed on for generations.

Hewlett Packard is currently the largest technology company in the world, with an annual revenue exceeding $100 billion. An industry giant today, HP was formed by two colleagues who graduated with a degree in electrical engineering from Stanford. William Hewlett and Dave Packard started Hewlett-Packard in a garage in Palo Alto, California. Their first successful project was an audio oscillator, and a simple design difference allowed them to sell their oscillator at a fraction of the price of the competition. The direction of the company was unclear in the early years, until HP decided to focus on high quality electronics and test equipment. This eventually led to HP’s dominance of today’s technology market.
Now HP is a primary seller of personal computers, printers, software, technology services and HP copier models. A significant amount of sales revenue also comes from the HP printer cartridges necessary for HP printers.

Even though most of the work at my accounting firm is handled electronically, we still need to create a paper trail for all of the calculations we make and the documents we send out. There have been times when I felt like I was drowning in a sea of paperwork at the office, and the only solution has been organization. I took a step back and found that the workers around me were going about business in a woefully inefficient manner.
The most egregious issue by far involved our procedure for printing, copying, scanning and faxing documents. Our machines were all so outdated that they could only perform a single function. This meant that we would have to run from one machine to the next just to complete a task. It was a nightmare easily solved by installing a Muratec multifunction machine. Since switching to the business hub, efficiency has improved to an unbelievable degree.

I’ve been working as a patent attorney for more than 20 years now, and while the job can be exhausting at times it’s also fulfilling. When I’m at work, my administrative assistant and legal clerks do most of the grunt work, which leaves me free to prepare arguments and pore over legal texts. Unfortunately, I often have so much work to do that I have to bring it home with me. When I’m at home, I have to do all the faxing, scanning and copying that would normally fall to my underlings.
Konica Minolta fax machines are an essential for any home office, mostly because they feature printing and copying capabilities in one compact unit. I’ve found that by keeping my home office organized, I get more work done there than I do at the office. It’s just a matter of staying focused on the task at hand and having all my supplies at my fingertips.

Some of the most valuable assets for any large company are their copyrights and trademarks. These simple rights allow for brand marketing and set them apart from the competition. One of the biggest problems in maintaining these rights is ensuring exclusivity.
Companies like Xerox and Kleenex have become so synonymous with their products that they are at risk of losing their copyright protection. Because of this, the companies go to great lengths to ensure people don’t refer to “copies” as “Xerox” or “facial tissue” as “Kleenex.” So the next time you pick up some Kleenex or Xerox copier supplies, remember the importance of their name.

Last week my Mom asked me to help her pick out a new printer. I decided to take a look at the one she currently has, which appears to be a relic from a prehistoric age. It was the same printer I remember using in elementary school, often taking a half an hour to print a single essay.
She was worried about the cost of a new printer, as she hadn’t purchased one in well over a decade. I was happy to inform her that there are many quality models, like Konica Minolta color printers, that will be less expensive than the price she paid for her outdated one
The MFX-C3400 from Muratec prints exceptional 11″x17″ color, robust color copying, high-speed faxing and intuitive digital document delivery to email addresses, PC folders and USB flash drives, all within the footprint of a traditional letter/legal multifunction device. This machine is very user friendly while also being very durable.
The Muratec MFX-C3400 can easily create full color 3″x5″ postcards. 11.6″x47.4″ banners and everything in between! By combining a high-resolution LED print engine, with a seamless paper path, you can efficiently create a variety of color documents quicker with fewer paper jams than the rest of the competition.

The beauty of a multifunction business machine is that you can do all of your copying, printing and faxing in one convenient location. But how much do you really know about the essential parts of the laser printer? This relatively new breed of printer operates differently from ink jets in that they rely on static electricity and heat to impart an image on a sheet of paper.
When the printing process begins, the toner passes through a device known as a fuser. The fuser heats and binds the plastic particles in toner to the paper. The process is so quick and efficient that smudging does not occur. While you might end up with ink on your hands after reaching for an inkjet copy too quickly, no such concerns apply to multifunction HP copiers with laser printing capability.
Sometimes referred to as a peripheral, a printer is a device which produces a hard copy of a document(s) that is stored electronically. The quality of printers has improved dramatically over the past decade and many jobs which used to be done by professional print shops are now done by individuals on their personal printer. This is also referred to as desktop publishing.
There are a number of manufactures making devices such as Xerox printers. These peripherals can be attached to a computer either directly by a cable or by a built in network interface.

When I was hired on as an intern at a graphic design company, I did a majority of the grunt work. My daily responsibilities ran the gamut from getting coffee for the whole office to delivering the mail. In short, I did the things no one else would care to do. Luckily, I had enough passion for the field that I stuck with it no matter what my bosses threw my way.
Early in my tenure as an intern, I noticed a number of inefficiencies that were holding the company back. After at least a dozen trips to Kinko’s to retrieve copies of our latest product designs, I finally got fed up enough to tell my boss. “Why don’t we just get a few Xerox color printers for the office?” I wondered. As it turned out, he didn’t realize just how affordable printers have become in recent years. I’m happy to report that we’ve since cut out the middle man and I have a full-time job at the company.
